Why buy cabinets from a fire extinguisher company

Cabinets, extinguishers and final-inspection tags from one sub

Most supply houses stop at the box. We're a licensed extinguisher service company, so the scope doesn't fall through the cracks between rough-in and certificate of occupancy.

Fast submittals

Cut sheets, rough-opening dimensions and fire-rating documentation packaged for your architect's review.

Spec match or approved equal

We'll quote the basis-of-design product, and offer an equal from another manufacturer when lead time or budget calls for it.

Jobsite delivery

Cabinets delivered to your site, timed for rough framing so the openings are ready before drywall.

Ready for final

Amerex extinguishers set in every cabinet with a CSFM service tag, so you're covered at the fire marshal's final walk.

Manufacturers we supply

The brands architects specify

We're an authorized dealer for JL Industries and Potter Roemer, and we also supply Larsen's and Babcock-Davis. Tell us what's on the drawings. If a series isn't listed here, ask — we can usually source it.

Mounting styles

Pick the mount that fits the wall

Wall depth, corridor width and fire rating decide which style works. We'll confirm rough-opening sizes against your wall assembly before ordering.

Surface mount

Hangs on the finished wall. For existing or shallow walls, or where openings weren't framed.

Semi-recessed

Partly in the wall, with a shallow projection. The go-to in corridors to limit how far it sticks out.

Fully recessed

Flush with the wall face with a trim flange. Needs full stud depth in the framed opening.

Trimless

No visible trim — drywall finishes right to the door for a clean architectural look.

Fire-rated cabinets

Required when a recessed or semi-recessed cabinet penetrates a rated wall. We match the cabinet's listing to the wall's hour rating.

Doors & glazing

Clear or tempered glass, acrylic, bubble, break-glass, solid panel or full-glass doors, with lettering in your choice of style and color.

Security & add-ons

Locking cabinets with break-glass access, door alarms, signage and projecting ID signs, plus extinguisher brackets for non-cabinet locations.

How it works

From plans to final inspection

  1. Send plans or spec

Share the Division 10 spec, fire-life-safety sheets or a cabinet schedule. Partial sets are fine for budgeting.

  2. Takeoff & quote

We count locations, confirm mounting and ratings, and price the basis-of-design product plus any approved equals.

  3. Submittals & delivery

Submittal package to your team, then cabinets delivered to site on your rough-in schedule.

  4. Extinguishers & tags

After finishes, we set Amerex extinguishers, tag each unit and hand you documentation for the final.

Code checkpoints

Details that come up at plan check

Quick reference for layout. Your approved plans and local fire authority always govern.

Travel distance

Under NFPA 10, Class A extinguishers are placed so travel distance to one is no more than 75 feet.

Mounting height

For extinguishers 40 lb and under, the top can be no higher than 5 ft above the floor, and the bottom at least 4 in. above it.

Accessibility

ADA and CBC Chapter 11B limit wall projections in circulation paths and set reach ranges, which often decides semi-recessed vs. surface.

General guidance only — not a substitute for the project's code analysis or the fire authority having jurisdiction.
